The Birch (formerly Revealbot) alternative for building the ads your rules then run

Birch is the name Revealbot took in October 2024. It runs automation rules and reports on ads that are already live on Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and Snapchat. Kitchn.io covers the step before that: hundreds of ads built in a sheet, validated, approved, launched to eight channels. Your rules take it from there.

Why teams switch

Why teams switch from Birch

Launch day is the part Birch's rules wait for

Birch's rules run every 15 minutes to 72 hours on campaigns that already exist. Someone still builds those campaigns. Birch's Launcher does it on Meta, up to 50 ads per ad set. Stage duplicates an existing ad set with new creative on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat. Kitchn.io's Launch Sheet creates ad sets from a template ad set and the ads in bulk, hundreds of rows at a time. Paste cells from Google Sheets, pull assets from Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io or OneDrive, push live.

Google Demand Gen and Pinterest, beyond what Birch launches to

Birch connects Google Ads for rules and reports; no ad creation there is documented. Kitchn.io launches Demand Gen video into your existing ad groups, and Pinterest from the same rows. Meta, TikTok and Snapchat you have on both; LinkedIn, Spotify and AppLovin are the three in beta.

Your standards, checked before the client sees the ad

Birch's Launcher flags setup errors that would block publishing. Kitchn validates every row before launch. Required fields, URL format, platform specs, and Meta's creative enhancements forced off, 86 at last count. A Snapchat video that is not 9:16 does not go out. A row that fails lands in error and never launches. Previews, comments and approval statuses sit on the row, so the client reviews the real ad before anything spends.

Where each tool fits

Birch is an automation layer for live ads. Kitchn.io is the launch workflow in front of it.

Birch is the product Revealbot became on October 21, 2024, when the company renamed itself and moved to bir.ch. The feature set carried over. Automated rules with 20+ actions and nested AND/OR conditions. Pre-built strategies. Scheduled cross-platform reports, white-labelled if you want. Explorer for creative insights. Post boosting on Facebook and Instagram. Rules run on Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and Snapchat, every 15 minutes to 72 hours. Google Sheets, AppsFlyer or Hyros data can sit in the conditions. If the job is live campaigns that need budgets moved and reports sent on a schedule, Birch covers it, and Kitchn.io leaves it to Birch.

Where Birch stops is the launch itself. Launcher creates campaigns, ad sets and ads on Meta only. Stage turns Google Drive folders and Google Sheets rows into ads on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat. It duplicates an existing ad set, or adds to one, and swaps in new creative. On Meta, Stage lists Carousel, Collection, Catalog and Existing Post ads as not supported. There is no documented pre-launch check beyond Launcher's setup-error review. No documented client approval flow, and Birch's Client role receives emailed reports and nothing else. No documented naming enforcement beyond Launcher's name macros. For a media buyer tuning live accounts, that is the right shape. An agency that launches Carousel and Collection ads in volume, or buys on Pinterest and Google Demand Gen, still builds those in Ads Manager tabs.

Kitchn.io is the workflow in front of all that. One Launch Sheet for ad sets and ads, hundreds of rows at a time, Carousel and Collection included. Previews and approval statuses for the client, on the row. Then Birch's rules, or Kitchn's, take over.

Meta ad formats in bulkYesCarousel, Collection, Catalog, Existing PostPartialStage: single image and video
Stage's Meta flow lists Carousel, Collection, Catalog, Existing Post, Message and Multi-media ads as not supported. Launcher lets you pick a format and use existing posts, on Meta only. Pre-launch QA checksYesRequired fields, URL format, specs, enhancementsPartialLauncher flags Meta setup errors
Launcher marks ad sets and ads with setup errors that would block publishing. Kitchn validates every row before launch. Required fields, URL format, platform specs, and Meta's creative enhancements forced off, 86 at last count. A Snapchat video that is not 9:16 does not go out. A row that fails lands in error and never launches.
Client & team approvalsYesStatuses, comments, previewsNoNo documented approval flow
Birch's Client role receives emailed reports and rule notifications. Stage lets your own team review ads and set them live. Kitchn.io puts approval statuses and comments on every row; the client reviews the real ad preview through a share link, no login needed.
Naming conventionsYesApplied by templatePartialName macros in Launcher
Launcher's macros build ad set and ad names from a template on Meta. On Kitchn.io a naming template is applied to every row, per sheet and platform, so a Pinterest name gets the same treatment as a Meta name; overrides are explicit and logged.
Templates & sheet defaultsYesSet once per sheetPartialSaved Launcher templates
A saved Launcher template pre-fills CTA and ad copy on the next launch. Kitchn.io sets sheet defaults once; new rows inherit them, and ad templates are applied in bulk or through auto-import, on every channel.
Rule-based budget & bid automationPartialRules: pause, rename, notify SlackYesIts core product, 4 channels
Birch's rules run every 15 minutes to 72 hours, with 20+ actions and nested AND/OR conditions. Google Sheets, AppsFlyer or Hyros data can feed the conditions. Kitchn's side is the Rule Engine: rules on Meta and TikTok that pause, rename or notify Slack on a schedule, with budget changes and duplication on request. For automation at Birch's depth, keep Birch.
Cross-channel reportingYesCreative Reporting, 4 channelsYesScheduled, white-label, email or Slack
Birch builds cross-platform reports from Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and Snapchat. They go out to email or Slack on a schedule, white-labelled for clients. Kitchn's Creative Reporting covers Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Pinterest: report views, custom dimensions from your naming, calculated metrics, an ad screenshot library, share links for clients. No white-label branding, PDF export or scheduled emails; rules can notify Slack when spend, CPA or CTR cross a threshold.
Audit trail of changesYesEvery change and approvalPartialRule logs and Activity page
Birch's Activity page and rule logs record every action its automated rules took. No documented log of manual edits or approvals. Kitchn's Audit & Change Log covers the manual edits and the approvals, with before and after, a name and a time on each.

Fit

Who each tool is for

Choose Kitchn.io if…

  • Your Birch rules already run the accounts; what is left is building the ads they watch, tens to hundreds a week
  • Your Meta launches lean on Carousel, Collection, Catalog Carousel or Existing Post ads in bulk
  • You buy on more than Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, or want Google Demand Gen, Pinterest or LinkedIn from the same sheet
  • Clients or team leads sign off before an ad spends, and you want that on the ad, with comments
  • Your Launcher name macros should become a naming template applied to every row, with a log behind it

Stay on Birch if…

  • You want rules moving budgets, bids and statuses on live campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and Snapchat
  • You send clients scheduled, white-label reports across those four channels
  • You boost Facebook and Instagram posts automatically once they hit your engagement conditions
  • Your launches are mostly a winning Meta, TikTok or Snapchat ad set duplicated with new creative
  • You were on Revealbot and your rules, strategies and reports already live in Birch
Migration

Switching from Birch (or Revealbot) to Kitchn.io

  1. Keep your Birch rules running

Both tools can run on the same ad accounts. Your Birch rules stay where they are, and there is nothing to export.

  2. Connect the channels you buy on

Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, Google Ads (Demand Gen), Pinterest and Snapchat, plus LinkedIn, Spotify and AppLovin in beta.

  3. Move your standards into templates

Take the naming convention from your Launcher macros and your defaults. Set them once in Kitchn.io as a naming template and sheet defaults. New rows inherit the sheet defaults; ad templates are applied in bulk, on every channel.

  4. Launch the first sheet

Paste rows from Google Sheets. Assets come from Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io or OneDrive. Let validation run on every row, send the preview link, push live. Once live, the ads sit in the same ad account Birch already watches.

FAQ

Kitchn.io vs Birch: common questions

Is Revealbot the same as Birch?

Yes. Revealbot renamed itself Birch (spelled Bïrch on its site) on October 21, 2024 and moved to bir.ch. revealbot.com now redirects there. Its announcement says rules, analytics and creative testing carried over. Its help center says subscriptions continued under the new name. If you are searching for a Revealbot alternative, Birch is the product you are comparing against.

Is Kitchn.io a good Birch alternative?

For launching, yes. Birch automates and reports on live ads across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and Snapchat. Kitchn.io sits in front of that: the launch, for paid social teams, on eight channels. If your team's hours go into building and uploading ads, Kitchn.io replaces that part. If they go into rules and reports, Birch keeps that part.

What's the difference between Kitchn.io and Birch?

Birch works on ads after they are live; Kitchn.io on ads before. Birch's own launch tools cover Meta in Launcher and Meta, TikTok and Snapchat in Stage, by duplicating an existing ad set; Kitchn.io starts from rows, creates ad sets from a template ad set and the ads in bulk, on eight channels.

Does Kitchn.io have Birch's automated rules?

Partly. Kitchn's Rule Engine runs scheduled rules on Meta and TikTok: pause, rename, notify Slack, with budget and duplicate actions on request, and scheduled checks flag disapproved ads. Birch goes further: 20+ actions, nested and ranking conditions, a 15-minute to 72-hour schedule, outside data in the conditions, on four channels. Teams that need that keep Birch next to Kitchn.io.

Can Kitchn.io launch ads in bulk like Birch's Launcher or Stage?

Yes, and on more channels. Launcher creates campaigns, ad sets and up to 50 ads per ad set on Meta. Stage duplicates an existing ad set and swaps in creative from Google Drive or a Google Sheet on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat. Kitchn.io creates ad sets from a template ad set and the ads in bulk, from rows, and validation and approval statuses run before the first cent. It takes pasted cells from Google Sheets and assets from Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io or OneDrive. A Meta ad carries up to 10 headlines, 10 descriptions and 5 primary texts.

How is Kitchn.io priced compared to Birch?

Kitchn.io's plans are public, from €499/month, priced by ad accounts and upload volume, not by ad spend. Birch's plans are public too, priced by monthly ad spend across connected accounts. Essential starts at $49 and Pro at $99 a month for up to $10K of spend, billed monthly. Pro reaches $1,799 a month at $500K, with Enterprise above that.

Can Birch and Kitchn.io run on the same ad accounts during a switch?

Connecting the ad accounts and copying your Launcher macros into a naming convention is the whole setup; the first sheet follows. Kitchn.io works on the same ad accounts Birch does, so nothing moves and your Birch rules keep running.

Hundreds of ads, launched from one sheet. Then your rules take over.
